Medvedev talked about in Burma, on top of the 10 Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Russian media reported his two-minute conversation with US President Barack Obama after the summit.
In a statement to journalists Russian Prime Minister stressed the need to “give up and go penalty in relation to the normal operating mode to normal, peaceful, productive conversations.” He expressed his belief that the sooner Western sanctions are withdrawn, the better. He added that they do not bring any benefits.
According to Medvedev, the first step toward improving US-Russian relations should the US do. Russian Prime Minister also said that he expects that ultimately strengthen the ruble, the economy will find the “equilibrium”. The ASEAN Summit was attended by nearly 20 heads of states and governments of the ten countries in the region.
