- On Friday, the contact group negotiations in Minsk will not be – the Belarusian Foreign Ministry spokesman said Dzmitry Mironczyk, quoted by Interfax-Zapad agency.
According to sources, the agency Interfax-Ukraine talks not take place, because the pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine have not fulfilled the findings of exchange of hostages. Interviewees gave the agency that these findings have been taken during the previous meeting of the Contact Group, which was held in Minsk. It was attended by envoys Kiev, Moscow, the OSCE and the pro-Russian separatists.
The Security Service of Ukraine has confirmed in recent days, there have been reached agreement on exchange 225 150 separatist fighters Ukrainian military. However, Russian media quoted by separatists declared that they have the time to December 30.
Ukraine is ready to withdraw heavy equipment
The negotiations of the contact group on Wednesday lasted more than five hours. They were closed to journalists, and after the talks have not issued any statement.

Continued September meeting
Wednesday’s negotiations in the Belarusian capital representative attended the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Heidi Tagliavini; Ukrainian authorities represented by former President Leonid Kuchma and Russia its ambassador in Kiev Mikhail Zurabow. Envoys of the breakaway republics of folk, Donetsk and Luhansk were Denys Puszylin and Wladyslaw Dejny.
The previous two group meetings were held in Minsk in September. They resulted in agreements which provided, inter alia, ceasefire, the establishment of a demilitarized buffer zone and stop the troops of both sides on the front lines as of September 20, as well as the exchange of prisoners. Agreement continue to be violated, but since their inception, the intensity of the fighting on the Eastern Ukraine dropped significantly.
