FBI agents arrested the resident of Cincinnati (Ohio), who was planning to make a bomb attack on the building of the Capitol in Washington and spoke of his support for the Islamic State – US federal prosecutors announced.
According to the testimony of an FBI informant disclosed contained in court documents, 20-year-old Christopher Lee Cornell studied the construction of pipe bombs and purchased two semi-automatic M-15 rifles and 600 rounds of ammunition. These bombs intended to be placed in the Capitol building, located both houses of Congress (parliament), the United States and in its vicinity.
Cornell also had to have the intention to attack using weapons of people in the middle of the building – Congressmen and staff offices Congress. The suspect arrested on Wednesday during a covert operation FBI SWAT team, after he bought firearms and ammunition.
