Despite the unrest that erupted in front of the House of Music and Dance in Zabrze during a protest against plans to mine closure in Silesia, gala awards ceremony was able to be carried out according to plan.

The highest honor of the Diamond Laurel of Skills and Competence jury awarded Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski. Although the president ran that day in Zabrze, but sent a thank you, the recorded video and promised that – although at a later date – will receive the award in Silesia.
