Meanwhile, the Ukrainian authorities reported that 25 minutes after midnight Ukrainian forces were fired upon by the rebels near the village Zolote in the Luhansk region.

On Thursday, after several hours of talks in Minsk, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin, Ukraine Petro Poroshenko Francois Hollande and France negotiated a settlement agreement lasting from April 2014 conflict in the Donbas. The document was signed by the members of the Contact Group of the OSCE-Ukraine-Russia and representatives of the pro-Russian separatists.

The Agreement provides for, among others, cease-fire between the forces and the rebels Ukrainian and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the war zone and the formation of a buffer zone width of 50 to 70 km; both sides have to leave the area within 14 days.
