Bundestag unanimously in favor of the Act, which allows to pay retirement living in Poland, the former employees of the ghettos . So far, this was not possible due to a signed 40 years ago, Polish-German agreement which precludes such a provision. The decision of the Bundestag, however, change this situation. Pensions for work in the ghetto, they can be transferred to persons residing on Polish territory.
It is estimated that in Poland was still alive from 500 to 800 people who worked during the war in the ghettos.
