Amanda Knox acquitted – Republic

The Italian Supreme Court acquitted an American Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito Italian, who had been convicted by court of appeal for several years of imprisonment for the murder of Meredith Kercher British student in 2007 in Perugia.

A young American woman and her former Italian boyfriend always repelled the charges of killing friend. The process, which took place twice, had a circumstantial nature.

Determining the perpetrators and the circumstances of the murder of Meredith Kercher was one of the most interesting court cases in recent years in Italy, which tracked the media in many countries.

American Amanda Knox was watching the proceedings at his home in Seattle, where he returned after a previous judgment acquitting.

In the next Knox and Sollecito process received in January 2014 years convictions. Knox was sentenced by the court of appeals to 28.5 years in prison and Sollecito to 25 years.

On Friday, the Supreme Court while Knox was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment for libel bar owner in Perugia, which accused of involvement in the crime.
