President Bronislaw Komorowski took part, along with other foreign leaders in Sunday’s march in Tunis against terrorism. In the capital of Tunisia, the president stressed that Poland participates in actions to remove the threat of terrorism.
The march was a response to a terrorist attack March 18 at the National Museum of Bardo, which killed 23 people, including three Poles.
“Today’s march of solidarity with the victims and against terrorism is a signal that Poland participates in any form in their efforts to remove the threat of terrorism and pay the same price for it. In a special way We laid tribute to Polish victims. We stressed that Poland fully understands the concern and commitment of European countries to the south, where it flows threat of terrorism “- said Komorowski after the march during a briefing before the Bardo museum.

The march was also attended by French President Francois Hollande, the Prime Minister of Italy Matteo Renzi and Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Hollande urged Tunisia and the international community to join forces in the fight against terrorism. He stressed that the bombing of Tunis touched the country, who survived the Arab Spring and has achievements in the field of democracy and pluralism. The attack in the Bardo museum admitted jihadi group the Islamic State (IS), controlling vast areas in Syria and Iraq. Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid said on Sunday that killed the commander of the special forces of Islamists suspected of helping organize the assassination.
