In a letter to the head of the FBI Ambassador Richard Schnepf protested against the suggestion of the Polish responsibility for the Holocaust. Ambassador accused Comeyowi falsification of history by attributing atrocities that not only the perpetrators, but they were the victims.
According to a press Embassy of the Republic in Washington, Schnepf reminded both of the activities of “Żegota” and the mission of Jan Karski , as also pointed out that a plaque commemorating the people who helped Jews during the Second World War, which is located in the building of the Washington Holocaust Museum, the largest group are just Polish.
The Embassy refused to disclose the contents of the letter and further comment on the matter.
