Hackers stole data enamored 3.9 million. This time they attacked the world’s largest online dating site Adult Friend Finder. So they can learn, for example, about the sexual preferences of people registered there.
As informed on Friday portals, bad news for many a site visitor Adult Friend Finder is that among the stolen data, information about those who seek erotic adventures outside of marriage. British TV Channel 4 drew on his website that, among the users whose data were stolen, are employees of the government and professional soldiers. Experts believe that hackers will try to use these data to try to blackmail.
It turned out that the stolen among others, the data of those who stopped using this service and recommended deleting their accounts. Adult Friend Finder reports that its services are used globally 63 million people.
Stolen information can be found in the TOR network – providing far-reaching anonymity of the Internet part called Dark Net (dark network), where calls are only accepted across trusted computers, and the content contained therein are invisible to traditional search engines.
Experts point out that on the basis of these data it is possible to determine names. It has already been established that the attack has probably a hacker from Thailand. Adult Friend Finder reportedly owed him some money, so a hacker stole data to blackmail to force payment of debts. When this plan failed, out of revenge hacker posted the stolen data on the network.
