In Russia, the flu already 107 people have died; Most fell ill with swine flu H1N1 - said on Thursday the Minister of Health Veronika Skworcowa. Skworcowa pointed out that the current number of deaths is much lower than during the epidemic in 2009.

She explained that among the 107 dead persons were four pregnant women and eight children. All those who died, not grafted to the flu, many of them late reported to the doctor.

Ten people died in the circuit of Rostov in southern Russia, near the border with Ukraine. The Polish border with the Kaliningrad Oblast Two people died, confirmed there 72 cases of infection with H1N1.

From Thursday in the Kaliningrad Oblast schools canceled classes in the early grades (1 to 4 classes), and from February 1, upper-class students will have a 10-day unscheduled vacation. In Kaliningrad also canceled public events and sports.

The Ministry of Health estimates that the flu epidemic in Russia will begin to wane after about a week and will end in late February.
