A country that refuses to accept the refugees will have to pay up to 250,000 euros fine for each of them – on the European Commission’s proposals, to be presented on Wednesday, he writes in the Saturday newspaper “La Stampa”, revealing details of the plan.
According to Italian newspapers, the Commission will propose to member countries of the EU small reform of the Dublin Convention on the admission of refugees. According to the project will be maintained responsibility for adoption by the first country to which they reach. But regulated will also be a question of their deployment in all EU countries in the event of a mass influx, exceeding the capacity of the state to which they come.
For each country, determined will be the maximum number of refugees, which can accept. When this is exceeded, will begin their relocation to other countries.
The penalty for failure to adopt the refugees will be high and may be as high as two hundred and fifty thousand euros for each person. But this amount may change – the newspaper added.
“La Stampa” publishes an interview with the head of EU diplomacy Federica Mogherini, who expressed the opinion that Europe retains a schizophrenic approach to migration.
