Nadiya Savchenko promises to fight for his countrymen imprisoned in Russia – Polish Radio

Savchenko occurred in the parliament of Ukraine as deputy party Batkivshchyna former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Aviator was number one on the list of this party in the parliamentary elections in 2014.

– I went back and turn up to work. I want to thank all Ukrainians who fought for me. I would like to thank all good and decent people in the world who have supported me, and Ukraine – he said.

Savchenko entered the parliamentary tribune of the Ukrainian national flag slung over his shoulder, and in her hand she held a flag of Crimean Tatars. During the presentation he sang the first verse of the national anthem.

– I’m back and I will not let you forget about those boys who died for Ukraine on the Maidan, and now die for it in Donbas. Nothing has been forgotten and nothing is forgiven. The people of Ukraine will not allow us to sit on the benches, if we betray him. Ukraine above all! – Ended his short speech.

After leaving the stands aviator took off the banner with his portrait and hung a banner with the faces of the Ukrainians detained by the Russian authorities and the separatists in Donbas.

Savchenko, 35-year-old lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, returned last Wednesday to his homeland, said two soldiers convicted in Ukraine Russian military intelligence GRU, Yevgeny Yerofeyev and Alexander Alexandrov.

In March, Russian Savchenko was sentenced to 22 years in prison, considering it to be an accomplice of death of two Russian journalists during the fighting in Donbas in 2014. Savchenko, a leave of absence as the officer in the Ukrainian army was fighting a war against pro-Russian separatists, did not admit guilt. Aviator claimed that she was abducted by separatists to Russia before the journalists were killed.

Yerofeyev and Alexandrov are soldiers of Russian special forces. In May 2015 they were caught by Ukrainian government forces in Donbas in eastern Ukraine, where he fought in the ranks of the pro-Russian separatists. Last month, a court in Kiev sentenced them to 14 years in prison sentence.
