the increasing migration pressure on the Balkans has become the reason for an extraordinary meeting of European leaders. For urgent calls to come in Brussels last weekend the leaders of Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Romania, as well as not belonging to the Union of Serbia and Macedonia. The proceedings convened at the initiative of the European Commission.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the increased efforts to seal the external borders of the Union. This should include additional support for Greece, Croatia and Slovenia in the registration of migrants and traffic monitoring at borders. To Slovenia on Wednesday to be sent 400 border guards. On the borders of Greece, Albania and Macedonia is planned the new operation EU agency Frontex. Among the topics there was also the question of preventing the flow of migrants and refugees from one country to another without the consent of the neighbor.

– It’s a good time to take action to improve the overall internal EU system. Winter begins, refugees will certainly be less – says Patrycja Sasnal. PISM expert adds that “the problem of migration is contained a logical trap.” – You can not formally close the borders to refugees, it is immoral, contrary to the principles of international law and values of the European Union. You also can not build a wall on the border of the Community, because if we can enclose, for example, all the Greek islands? – Rhetorically asks Patrycja Sasnal and calculates the broadcast, what to do to get closer to solving the problem.
