There is a chance that a fund to compensate for poorer countries the cost of ambitious EU climate policy will be at the level requested by the Polish – say sources close to the Polish government. In Brussels, EU Summit takes on climate policy.

The draft agreement envisages reserve a portion of CO2 emissions allowances for the creation of a special fund that would allow other less prosperous EU countries to finance the necessary investments in the energy sector.
