The initiative to erect a monument Putin from St. Petersburg, appeared Cossacks , his hometown. Bust stood in the private property of the Cossack Ataman Andrei Poljakow, therefore, for its unveiling authorities was unnecessary.

According to Poljakow in the image symbolizes the Roman Emperor Putin Russian democracy. Ataman also explained that the idea of unveiling of the monument was born after the annexation of the Crimea, which was rated as “recovery of Russian lands.”
Bust, written by St. Petersburg sculptor Paul Griesznikow, made of synthetic materials. Ataman said, however, that as soon as the Cossacks gather money, it will be cast in bronze.
