Disaster trains in Germany. He faults duty traffic? – Polish Radio

As early as several hours after the crash there were reports that the tragedy is responsible duty traffic that let two trains on a single track section of the route.


 

Investigators now confirmed these reports. Wolfgang Giese of the prosecutor’s office in Traunstein said that the behavior of the duty can not be reconciled with the applicable rules. He added that if a man by the rules, there would be no collision of trains.


 

Giese added that there is no indication on the deliberate bringing to an accident, and an investigation is carried out in the direction of human error.


 

Against traffic controller already initiated proceedings. It is also known that the trains and the signaling on the route were efficient. For disaster in Bad Aibling occurred last week.


 

The accident occurred in an inaccessible place, between the river Mangfall and the forest, which complicated the rescue operation. Some of the wounded had to be transported by boat or helicopter to the other side of the river, where the waiting ambulance.
