Against the approval of the report Yatsenyuk voted on Tuesday evening 247 deputies in the 450-seat parliament. A dozen minutes later, in a vote of no confidence for the government “for” it voted only 194 deputies.

This means that Yatsenyuk remain in office. Another attempt to remove the prime minister, the Verkhovna Rada will be able to take only the next session of Parliament.

Before the vote on approving the report and censure Yatsenyuk assured deputies that his government, even though he acted under the Russian aggression against his country, the economy stabilized and started basic reforms.

– This government did everything he could do. We worked in very difficult conditions. We know that the public is dissatisfied, but the appeal: we can not stop, we set the foundation, but let us build further Ukrainian house! Please Ukrainian political class about the responsibility for our future. Glory to Ukraine! – He said.

Earlier on Tuesday, President Petro Poroshenko appealed in a speech to his countrymen on the total change in the composition of the government, but he said he hoped that the will of the current coalition with the other pro-Western forces. He stated that the public has lost confidence in the current leadership team.

– the government lost the support of the coalition. For adoption by the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of strategic decisions often have to “borrow” the voices in groups pozafrakcyjnych and among the deputies of non-members – said Poroshenko.

the president, who suggested that Yatsenyuk should resign, he said while calling for resignation from the post of prosecutor General Viktor Szokina, which is blamed for blocking the fight against corruption at the highest levels of government. According to unconfirmed media reports, previously criticized by the West Szokin resigned.

Poroshenko assured in their beds, that chooses to exercise his right to dissolve the parliament and the announcement of early elections only “in extreme cases”.

– the tension between the government and the parliamentary clubs came to such a high level that threatened the existence of the coalition. Its disintegration in turn undoubtedly plunge the country into a deep and prolonged political crisis – he said.

President emphasized, Yatsenyuk that the government has made significant progress on the path of reform, but the public believes that he committed more errors than successes achieved. – To restore the confidence needed surgery – he stressed.

– Premier is an independent event, the possibility of choosing the best how to achieve these expectations – said at Yatsenyuk.

If the parliament would have made a vote of confidence in the government Yatsenyuk, Ukraine most likely would wait early parliamentary elections. Against them are, however, the Western partners of Kiev, who fear that they trigger destabilization. Threatened can also be a funding program of the Ukrainian economy, implemented by the International Monetary Fund.

The government Yatsenyuk criticized above all for the lack of will to decisive fight against corruption and sluggishness in reforming the state. At the beginning of February resigned coming from Lithuania’s Economic Development Minister Aivaras Abromaviczus, which explicitly stated that reforms in Ukraine are deliberately blocked.
