Poroshenko talks with Merkel

After midnight office Poroshenko announced that he carried out a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The talks focused on ways of peaceful settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine, where the ongoing fight against pro-Russian separatists. “The president informed the chancellor about the deterioration of the situation in Donbas” – reported the press service of Poroshenko.

In Minsk of the Ukrainian crisis have to talk to the leaders of the Customs Union (formed by Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan) and Ukraine, as well as representatives EU, including EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton. It is expected that there will be a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin Poroshenko.
