– Let me be clear: the armies of 28 countries are not enough – said Juncker during a debate organized by German broadcaster WDR in Brussels.

– Compared with Foreign and Security Policy of the EU flock of chickens is the formation of fighting – said the former Prime Minister of Luxembourg. As pointed out by the AFP, Juncker did not spare even his country. He noted that Luxembourg has the “army of 771 people, including the minister of defense.”

In March the pages of the German newspaper “Welt am Sonntag” Juncker explained that with its own army the European Union could credibly respond to instances of threat to the peace in countries belonging to the EU or in neighboring countries. He noted that it would be a clear signal at Russia, that “we are serious about going to defend European values.”
