First, a wooden boat which flows from Turkey smashed against a rock and sank approx. h. 1.30 Polish time on the way to the island farmakonisi. Immediately after the tragedy, coast guard found the bodies of six children and women. According to police, port 48 people managed to safely reach the mainland.

A few hours later off the coast of the small island Kalolimnos another boat capsized. After this case, port police pulled from the water 14 bodies - two children, nine women and three men.

The other 26 people survived the accident. They claimed that on board were dozens of people. At sea, the Aegean is still ongoing rescue operation in which it participates helicopter EU's agency for Frontex border management.
