The German army did not defend Eastern Europe – Banker

The German army is unable to meet its allied commitments to other NATO countries – says Der Spiegel. Due to problems with hardware, Germany could not provide adequate aid Poland or the Baltic countries.

 
 
 
 

 

The German authorities admitted that the defensive alliance plans to overwhelm the current technical capabilities of the Bundeswehr. “Der Spiegel” gives an example of fighters. In the event of an attack on one of the NATO countries, Germany should make available to the Pact of 60 out of 109 Eurofighter aircraft are held. The problem is that learning to fly is now just 42 aircraft of this type.

 

“Der Spiegel” says that if the German army had actually assaulted defend NATO allies, for example. Baltic countries, it is not would cope with its assigned task.

 

In recent days, the media regularly reported about problems with the equipment of the German army. I recently found out that the Navy is practically no helicopters, because almost all of them are broken. Grounded are also many transport aircraft.
