28.02. Moscow (PAP) – One of the leaders of the democratic opposition in Russia Boris Nemtsov dead. 55-year-old politician on Friday evening was shot in the heart of Moscow, before the walls of the Kremlin. Opposition politicians have no doubt that this is a political murder.

The murder occurred at approx. 23.40 (21.40 in Poland) on the big bridge Moskworeckim, adjacent to Wasiliewskiego Spusku, which is an extension of the Red Square. Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin of the Russian Federation said that the Nemtsov was given at least seven shots from a passing car.

The Germans sharply criticized Putin’s policies, especially Russia’s involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, defining them as Russian aggression. The murder occurred on Sunday before the scheduled protest march against the policies of Putin’s opposition and the war in Ukraine. Nemtsov was one of the organizers. A close friend of the murdered politician, leader of the Solidarity movement Ilya Yashin said that there is no doubt that this is a political murder. US President Barack Obama, published in Friday evening local time statement, condemned the “brutal murder” Nemtsov.

Obama urged the Russian government to conduct a “quick, impartial and transparent investigation” and bring those responsible to justice.
