The shelling of the city

The European Union responds

The head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini warned that the intensification of the conflict in eastern Ukraine will inevitably lead to a further deterioration of relations between the European Union and Russia. – Further escalation of open armed conflict with tragic consequences for the population, which is already suffering so much for far too long. Inevitably, this will lead to further significant deterioration of relations between the EU and Russia – said Mogherini.

She called on Russia to influence the separatist leaders in Ukraine and to refrain from military, political and financial support for the separatists. – This will prevent catastrophic consequences for all – Mogherini added.
