On Saturday, shelling killed Mariupol at least 30 people and wounded nearly 100. At the same time called on the parties to the conflict in eastern Ukraine to respect the peace agreement with Minsk. “Peace, stability and territorial integrity of Ukraine must be restored as soon as possible” – said Ban Ki-moon.

In a statement, Ban Ki-moon, however, did not indicate which of the parties to the conflict is responsible for the attack on the city.

Tusk speaks to Poroshenko

The attack on Mariupol also referred to Donald Tusk. The President of the European Council stressed that “appeasement encourages the aggressor to more violence.” He also had a telephone conversation with Petr Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine. Poroshenko himself said earlier that the attack is a crime within the Court in The Hague.
