At least three people were killed as a result of massive downpours that passed through southern Germany. Among the victims is a fireman who died saving another person. In Baden-Württemberg to the rescue sent seven thousand people.
The violent storms passed over southern Germany. The most affected village in Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria. Storms and rains caused considerable losses, and local authorities are already talking about the “cataclysm”.
As a result of flooding caused by storm suffered in particular Braunsbach town in the northern part of Baden-Württemberg. Only one hour there fell 70 liters of water per square meter. Flowing through the town river overflowed its banks, destroying buildings and hijacking cars. Emergency services had to evacuate residents of the affected area.
Several villages in southern Germany is without power. The water also damaged roads and railways. Local authorities reported that as a result of storms, many people were injured.
