Barack Obama in Orlando, our policy has facilitated terrorists access to weapons – Polish Radio

– We can stop further tragedies. We can save human lives – said Obama.


 

He stressed that the relatives of victims of the shooting in Orlando “are members of the American family (…) our hearts tears today the same pain that they have suffered.”


 

– Those who fervently defend easy access to deadly weapons, should meet with the relatives of those who were murdered by her use – President Obama said.


 

He recalled that the last two attacks deemed terrorist attacks were the work of “homegrown” extremists. He pointed out that although the motives of perpetrators of other shootings were different perhaps from motives of the crime striker Orlando, however, “the murder weapon were similar.”


 

– We all need to work together on this to stop the killers who want to terrorize us – added the President. – If we do not act, we will witness further massacres such that I (in Orlando) – he stressed.


 

The president also said he was pleased by the decision of the US Senate, which will vote on the possibility of blocking the purchase of weapons by persons suspected of terrorism.

Omar Mateen, a US citizen of Afghan origin attacked a gay club Pulse in Orlando the night from Saturday to Sunday. Among the 50 killed the 49 victims and the same striker. At least 53 people were injured. Most of them are in critical condition.
