Ukraine: Top coalition talks – rmf24.pl

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, whose block – according to unofficial information – won the elections, counting on the fact that the consultation on the creation of a parliamentary coalition will begin today and be completed within 10 days. He also announced that it will report a candidate for prime minister, which will propose a coalition.

The President stresses that the coalition will block its Petro Poroshenko and the People’s Front current Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk will be the main partner in the formation of a parliamentary majority.

Poroshenko hopes that “ten days that the law provides for the official announcement of the election results, it is more than enough” to end all calls and the prime minister and the speaker of parliament, on the forming a new government and the leadership of the Supreme Council bodies. According to Poroshenko in the new government the number of ministries will be less.

Turnout was 52.9 percent.
