On Tuesday, the president of the French government published a report which shows that Francois Hollande withhold delivery of the first unit and personally decide the fate of the ship. In a short note written that Mistral Russia suspended the transfer is related to the crisis in Ukraine.

According to the TASS agency, citing a Russian deputy defense minister Yuri Borisov, Russia will act strictly in accordance with the contract and if the ship does not get it give the case to court. The deputy head of the Defense Ministry said that Moscow intends to impose on the French manufacturer penalties. In the opinion of the head of the parliamentary committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States Leonid Slutsky, Russia ease to win process in this case.

The agreement with the value of 1.2 billion euros for the supply of two Mistral to Russia, France signed in 2011. In September, Hollande joined transfer already built the first ship named “Vladivostok” with the regulation of the Ukrainian crisis. Originally, she was to be delivered in October.
