In the parliamentary elections on October 26 Ukrainians chose half of the 450-member Supreme Council of the party lists (proportional representation), and the other half – in single-member constituencies (majoritarian electoral law).
Due to the fact that the elections were not carried out in the occupied Crimea by Russia or the Russia-dominated by separatists, Russian troops on the territory east of the country, do not sit in the Parliament of 450, only 423 MPs. The names of two of them have not yet been established due to the dispute over the election results in two single-member constituencies. To solve the CEC gave 15 days.
The published results of the vote on party lists and candidates in single-mandate constituencies indicate that most MPs in the new parliament will block Petro Poroshenko – in his faction will sit 132 MPs. Popular Front won 82 seats Yatsenyuk and Self – 33. The opposition pro-Russian block will be in the Verkhovna Rada 29 representatives Radical Party 22, Batkyvchina 19 and nationalist Freedom 6 representatives selected in single-member constituencies. For the same circles of parliament came after a deputy party: Strong Ukraine, Zastup, Will and Right Sector. 94 new members competed in the elections as independent candidates.
