MFA of Ukraine: Amnesty will separatists, but not their leaders – Gazeta.pl

The minister warned that the amnesty for participants in the Donbas separatist movements will affect only those who have not committed serious crimes. He said that for sure will not be able to use it combatant leaders.

– This is a position that has been clearly emphasized in the context of yesterday’s talks – he said, informing parliament in Kiev on the results of the peace negotiations held in Minsk by German Chancellor Angela Merkel , President Francois Hollande and the presidents of Ukraine and Russia – Petro Poroshenko, and Vladimir Putin.

There is no specific date for withdrawal of “foreign forces”

Klimkin added that the date of withdrawal from eastern Ukraine “foreign troops” is still being calculated. – We have received confirmation of commitments for the exit of the Donbas all foreign military formations. Sorry, we have no specific date yet, but we will work on this point, in order to determine the terms of the process – he said.

The head of the Ukrainian diplomacy said that its foreign partners have guaranteed the technical means by which they will be monitoring the implementation of Minsk findings. – The assistance provided to us, including in the form of satellite equipment that we have a complete picture of the situation – he noted.

“We had a desire to terminate the negotiations”

Klimkin reminded that mińskimi agreements provided for local elections in “certain areas” of Donetsk and Lugansk circuits will be carried out under the strict supervision of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
