Bronislaw Komorowski began a two-day visit to Ukraine. – Polish uchylałaby not from participation in any UN peacekeeping operation in Ukraine – declared in Kiev. Komorowski has claimed that, any peacekeeping operation in Ukraine it would be a decision of the UN Security Council, of which “will certainly be difficult.” The President declared that Poland would support such a solution.





– We assume that there is a possible solution based on the non-aligned countries, but if they were any other decision, Poland did not uchylałaby from participating in this type of operation – he added.

Poroshenko assured, however, that it is clear that the potential of the UN mission is the optimal solution. – If you have a peaceful attitude towards the quota was cool, that today we all understand that this is the best way to de-escalation of the conflict. He explained that the referral procedure peacekeepers to Ukraine consist of two stages. The first is the preparation of the relevant UN Security Council decision preceded by consultation of the permanent members of the Council. Ukraine should arrive at the mission of the UN Secretary General, and later may be decided the Security Council. The second step is the preparation and the direct involvement of peacekeeping contingent in specific operations.
