Yemen: in Taizz are fighting killed despite truce -10 – Onet.pl

The fighting also occurred Saturday night in the town of Ad-Dali, the capital of muhafazy of the same name, on the south-west Yemen, but so far there is no information about the victims.

The truce between the forces of the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and Shiite rebels has been repeatedly violated by each of the parties to the conflict, which they blame each other for provoking the clashes – notes the Associated Press. On Saturday the fighting took place in Aden, in the south of the country in Taizzie and muhafazie Marib in the north.

By AFP at least 12 civilians were killed and 51 were injured on Saturday as a result of firing by the rebels with heavy weapons and mortars several districts of the city Taizz. Military sources say that those killed in the fighting and 26 rebels – as stated – 14 of their opponents.

Since the beginning of the end of March by a coalition offensive against Hutim, fighting for control of the country with forces loyal to Yemen’s President Abd al-Raba Mansur al-Hadi, in air raids and battles killed 1,400 people, mostly civilians. Fighting deepened the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, where dramatically short of water, food, medicines, electricity and fuel.

Humanitarian organizations trying to bring and distribute aid before the expiry of the truce on Sunday evening, but the inhabitants of many cities, including Aden and Taizzu, say they have not yet received any support.
