– According to information obtained by our consular services at the crisis center in Tortosa that at the moment among the injured in the accident is a Polish citizen, currently hospitalized – said the director of the press office of the Foreign Ministry Rafal Sobczak.
He added that the Polish consul in the hospital talking to our compatriot, is also in touch with the family of the injured Pole. He stressed that his condition doctors described as stable. – Pole has a broken arm, a cast and yet still leave the hospital. Our consular services allowed contact with him to his parents – said Sobczak.
– All the time we expect, however, to identify the service of the Spanish victims of the deadly accident – said the director of the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Students from Erasmus
According to the Spanish agency EFE, fatal accident victims are students from different universities participating in the EU program Erasmus student exchange. Most of them studied at the Barcelona University and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. The authorities of Catalonia, an autonomous region in the north east of Spain, not yet reported the identity of the victims to the public.

According to the agency EFE was needed 17 fire brigades and a crane to remove the bus from the highway and get into people trapped in the wreckage.
