“Financial Times”: Polish government is looking for PR people. He wants to “strengthen the flagging reputation” – rmf24.pl

Seeking a PR firm that will save the reputation of European government, accused of violating the Constitution, undermining democracy and deterring foreign investors – so begins the blog, who published on the Internet British newspaper “Financial Times”. Its author is Henry Foy.

The blog’s title is somewhat milder: “Poland is looking for PR people to strengthen the flagging reputation.” According to the author, the government is looking for professionals who can help him make new friends and influence public opinion. All this in the context of protests in Poland and criticism from its foreign allies.

According to the “Financial Times”, the Polish government has made contact with several London-based PR firms that specialize in crisis communications. Warsaw was used in this mission, the head of one of the largest Polish financial firms. These actions – we read in the blog – are taken in the past two months.

Relying on the opinion of two people who have to know about it, the newspaper notes that the Government Prime Minister Beaty Awl took the initiative for fear that the media lost the war. “They have no idea how to do it” – “FT” quotes one source – “do not have the experience nor the proper expertise.” Henry Foy also notes that the Polish government follows the Hungarian authorities, who in 2011 leased a London PR people to strengthen their media image abroad. This happened after the introduction of the Budapest restrictions independence of private media.

As the author of the blog, he asked the Polish government with a request to comment on the latest reports. It was not, however, taken into account.
