European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker definitely ruled out on Thursday the prospect of imminent membership of Ukraine in the EU .

Ukraine will not become a member of the EU in the next 20-25 years

– he said, speaking in the Hague.

He also expressed the belief that the same applies to Ukraine’s membership in the NATO .

the accession to the European Union and NATO is the declared objective of the pro-Western government in Kiev. But now – as emphasized by the agency dpa – because of the civil war in the east of the country there is nothing to even think about starting negotiations.

Moreover, the actions of the Ukrainian government to combat corruption and reform the judiciary Union sees as insufficient.
