Germany wants to open a military refugees from Syria – TVN24

the Minister of Defence of Germany Ursula von der Leyen in an interview the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung” (FAS) announced that it will open the Bundeswehr refugees. They do not get to hand weapons, but they have to go through training in professions civilians.

– are working on a pilot project providing training hundred refugees in civilian professions – said von der Leyen.



They help rebuild the country



The offer is addressed mainly to the Syrians. The Minister explained that the program does not include military training, but the service in specialties civil – technical and medical craft.

– Our goal is that one day, when the Syrian uprising responsible government, trained specialists could return and help rebuild the country – said the head of the defense Ministry.

Von der Leyen has not ruled out the German assistance in training the army in Syria after the founding of the country’s government, which will be recognized by the international community.
