Foreign Ministry after the attacks on Poles expect from the British talks at the level of prime ministers – Virtual Poland

• – We expect from the British side that the meeting will be held also at the level of prime ministers – said the director of the Foreign Ministry spokesman Rafal Sobczak

Two Poles were attacked on Sunday morning in Harlow in the east of England, where a few days earlier as a result of a similar attack killed another Polish citizen. Police investigating the incident as potentially motivated by hatred on grounds of nationality.

 He noted that during the visit the ministers of foreign affairs, home affairs and justice Poland “will want to emphasize once again what increases since June, Poles that safety must be guaranteed by the British.” – That it is very important that the Poles had the same rights as all citizens of the United Kingdom (…) hence this initiative to a wider group of three ministers to talk with counterparts – he said.
 

– I would like to recall that the Prime Minister Beata Szydło also wanted to talk to Theresa May in connection with the recent tragic consequences incident, which took place in Harlow, died that Polish citizen. This conversation could not come to fruition because of the visit of Prime Minister of May in China and the G-20. While we expect from the British side, that for such a conversation also at the level of prime ministers will (…) Now we are waiting for a clarification of the possible of tomorrow’s visit three of our ministers – said Sobczak.
