White House spokesman Josh Earnest said that Hersh article, which appeared in the Sunday “London Review of Books,” is full of “inaccuracies and obvious lies”. He noted also the reaction of the former head of the CIA Michael Morella, who said he did not even finished reading this article, because it was so much inaccuracies.
Hersh, well-known American investigative journalist, accused the team of President Obama’s deceitful presentation of the circumstances of the killing in 2011 in Pakistan, Osama bin Laden, including concealing the fact that this was done with the knowledge and consent of Pakistani authorities. The extensive documentary article published in the British bi-weekly “London Review of Books”, Hersh argues that contrary to the claims of Washington dopadnięty in Abbottabad by US commandos bin Laden stayed there voluntarily, but as a real prisoner Pakistani intelligence.
Relying on information obtained from unnamed US intelligence services, Hersh writes that bin Laden’s whereabouts were not detected through – as is the official version – tracking al-Qaeda couriers. In his view, Obama has knowingly spread false information about the circumstances of the killing of bin Laden, to secure re-election in the presidential election in 2012.
