Greece’s creditors received new proposals to the government in Athens – Puls Biznesu

Selmayr confirmed in the night from Sunday to Monday that Greece’s new proposals received President of the European Commission (EC), Jean-Claude Juncker and the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde, and the European Central Bank (ECB).

“It’s a good base to make progress at the summit of the leaders of the eurozone countries” – wrote Selmayr on Twitter.

The summit will begin on Monday in Brussels the chair. 19. preceded him an extraordinary meeting of finance ministers of the Eurozone countries. Since the end of February the Greek government is negotiating with the Commission European Union, International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank on the reforms that are a prerequisite for unlocking financial assistance.

The current rescue program for Greece expires at the end of June. If by that time there will be an agreement on the transfer of Athens last tranche of this program – approx. 7.2 billion euros – that Greece threatens insolvency. Until 30 June that Greece has to pay the IMF 1.6 billion, but there is no means.
