Wikileaks: the NSA eavesdropping French presidents. The Agency does not … – Poland The Times

Reports for the first time published the French newspaper “Liberation” and the Internet information portal Mediapart. According to information disclosed by WikiLeaks, the three French presidents were overheard from at least 2006 to May 2012.

In response to the news portal Assange spokesman for the National Security Agency Ned Price said in a statement that “the NSA will not comment on these allegations”. Price, however, said that the US never podsłuchiwało current French President Francois Hollande.

According to the BBC, Hollande, alarmed by reports WikiLeaks on Wednesday convened an emergency meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Defence.

This is not the first reports on the surveillance of foreign leaders by the US NSA. In 2013, American whistleblower Edward Snowden has revealed that the National Security Agency inwigilowała German Chancellor Angela Merkel. However, reportedly has not commented officially the White House.
