The president attended a Mass at the Shrine of St. Joseph, and then the ceremony before the statue of St. Pope John Paul II. – Certainly Poland today is in better shape than it was in 1989, and certainly today we are better off than we were then, but you have to look calmly and say this: not everything has been done well – the president said during the ceremony.
He stressed that the wave of enthusiasm that “everything must go into private hands,” a lot of good, “which was our common national treasure has been wasted.” – Often, unfortunately, it was stolen – he stressed.

The president said that although many people have taken matters into their own hands, but it turned out that huge numbers of Poles are talented business, it can build businesses and jobs, it “through the fall and destruction of many state-owned companies, people lose their jobs.”
– Whole regions of our country from falling into poverty, people broke down, leaving abroad, leaving their homes – said Andrzej Duda. – It is also, unfortunately, is the reality of 27 years. Was it fair? I do not ask the state, it was not fair – he added.
Today, as emphasized “the great task of the people in power and enterprising people is to try to rebuild it.” – In turn, the task of the working people in this work together – he stressed.
“Without justice there is no community”
– The man spends at work one third of your life. It was there that creates a community with their colleagues, creates a community with all its plant, also with employees – even by the trade unions. Trade unions, which work well and defend workers, are effective, whose leaders honest approach to his duties. This is what community building workers, for whose dignity they want to take care of all forces is their great task – said the President.

The president stressed that one of the responsibilities of governing is to look at the Poles through the prism of families that create and support these families. – That’s why so very much welcome the fact that the program “500+” – a program of a parliamentary majority, the Polish government, and also my – is implemented. Many families of this program greatly needed in order to feel worthy and have the funds for the education of children. I hope that this program will be one of the elements that motivate young people to have children and to have more of them – said Andrzej Duda.
He stressed that Poles are one of the most talented nations, this potential must be used. – Why it is to be used in other countries in Western Europe? Why is there the Poles realize inventions why there Poles are managers of companies why their potential is not used here? It’s also a great task for the government, and also for me, – he stressed.
– I do work and that is why I am here with you today. Maybe it is not a simple job, because I call her servants. I am convinced that these have a sense also those who today govern Polish, it began service to the Republic. They want to fulfill all the commitments that Poland became a country stronger and that people in Poland lived more dignified – he added.
“The three basic elements”

“We have a great chance to build a strong Polish”

After the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument of St. Pope John Paul II and speech, the president met with pilgrims and inhabitants of Kalisz. On the square in front of the sanctuary he shared bread with them (sharing of bread is a tradition of the National Pilgrimage of Workers), talked, greeted. Many participants had their picture with the president. The President also met with the participants organized a picnic in a nearby park.
