The accident occurred late on a Sunday evening in the village of Hermalle-sous-Huy. According to Belgian media, driving at a high speed passenger train ran into the rear cargo warehouse, which was located on the same track. Two of the six cars fell out of the tracks, they were also the most damaged.
The train was going about 40 people. Passengers who were sitting in the front, suffered the most.
