Norair Iskandar, a Syrian native of Aleppo, who made a pilgrimage on foot from Lodz to Jasna Gora, considers it a great experience. “It is in this group, a lot of hope” – told the Radio Plus.

Norair described his experience after three days of hiking. “Honestly, these three days were not easy. Every day we walked about nine hours, of course, with stops. Just because you have to go so far for so many hours over four days, it is something that I’m doing for the first time in my life” – he said . “I can from his experience say that it is in this group, a lot of hope. Why? There are people in very different age from 20-year-olds up to those of 70-year-old. Going all the time you pass people at that age – you meet 20-year-olds, 25-year-olds – are tired, their feet hurt and they feel that they do not come to an end. But you can also find those with 50 or 60 years. I go as if nothing had happened. and when you ask, can’Jesteś tired? ‘, answer you:’Ależ where everything in porządku’ “- he recalled.

For Noraira these people were very motivating. “Ultimately, it is the person you yet mobilized. Instead you have it, it is you! Adds hope:’Nie give up, you reach the end. Let’s pray together!” – He said. “Sure, it happens that some people do not give advice and pull up cars, but the pleasure is just in it to go.”

“It’s fatigue and prayer are there, you came to an end. And this is important,” – he stressed Norair.

Young believes the Syrian participation in the pilgrimage for a great experience. Not only because one can get to know many people. “All the way is carried rosary prayer. Sure, I still do not understand much of the Polish, but I tried to listen and understand, ask the people who walked past me on the meaning of” – he said. “People are very helpful and friendly. All I explained, the meaning of individual words – I tried to remember them and repeat them myself. I tried to pray with them – I am of course in Arabic, but I tried also in Polish.”

“It’s a great feeling, to experience a new and different experience in your life. God willing – quietly get to the end, “- said Norair after the third day of the pilgrimage.
