A small aircraft on a flight viewing with eight tourists on board crashed Thursday in an inaccessible area of Alaska. Los passengers and the pilot is unknown, rescuers trying to reach the site of the disaster – have informed the local authorities.

The small turboprop seaplane DeHavilland DHC-3 Otter crashed into the granite rock on Lake Ella, southeast Alaska, near the town of Ketchikan.
The crash occurred at an altitude of 243 meters above the lake. Rescuers are trying to get there. So far, they have failed to determine whether someone survived the crash.
The tourists, who were on board the aircraft, cruise vessels sails “Westerdam” waiting for them at the port of Ketchikan.
