The new Ukrainian government sworn in. Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman – Polish Radio

The appointment and resignation Hrojsmana Yatsenyuk supported the 257 deputies. MEPs voted in these two cases in a single package.


 

The 38-year-old Hrojsman said before the vote that the new government will not tolerate corruption and will do everything for the stability and development of the state.


 

– The government and the authorities of Ukraine to bring a new quality and ensure the immutability of the course of European integration – he said in a speech to the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.


 

– I swear that this government will not tolerate corruption, will responsibly treat the tasks it faces and ensure the development of the state – he added.

Hrojsman stressed that the example of neighboring countries shows that and Ukraine can reforms that will lead to a thorough modernization of the country. – People want to have the perspective of the authorities, Trust and dignified life – he stressed.


 

He said, however, that does not seek to honor connection with the duties of prime minister.


 

– But I’m willing to take responsibility for the fate of the country – he stressed.


 

The politician stated that the biggest threat facing Ukraine are corruption, inefficient management and populism.


 

– Populism is no less dangerous than the enemy, which is located on the eastern Ukraine today – he said, referring to pro-Russian separatists.


 

Policies new generation of

 

Presenting the candidate Hrojsmana president Petro Poroshenko assured that the new government will continue the policy of rapprochement with the West.


 

– Volodymyr Groysman is a politician of the new generation. It will be the youngest prime minister of Ukraine. However, it has vast experience in management. He was one of the best mayors (Vinnytsia) and is one of the best specialists in the field of decentralization. Acting as parliament speaker also not a easy job – said Poroshenko appearing in the Verkhovna Rada.


 

The president said he expects the new government’s decisive action in favor of reform, economic growth and welfare of the citizens. – The key task is to regain control over Ukraine’s Donbas and Crimea – he stressed.


 

– The new government, like the previous one, will continue the course for European integration of Ukraine – assured Poroshenko.


 

The President thanked the Prime Minister for his previous work and pointed out that no government acted in such difficult conditions, as his office.


 

– I would also like to thank Arsenijowi Jaceniukowi a civilized solution to the political crisis, which fully corresponds to European traditions of political culture – he said.


 

“We have to go forward”

 

Just before his dismissal Yatsenyuk thanked the parliamentary tribune his allies and opponents for being “made him stronger.”


 

– Together we have done a lot for our state and nation, but we must go forward. Please accept my dismissal. We still have many challenges and work – said Yatsenyuk, who announced his resignation on Sunday.


 

The new government

 

The Ukrainian parliament on Thursday approved the new government, which was supported by 239 deputies voting in the 450-seat Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.


 

The Council of Ministers is six deputy prime ministers. One of them will be responsible in the government Hrojsmana for European and Euro-Atlantic integration. This position took Ivanna Kłympusz-Tsintsadze, who has been Vice-President of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee.


 

The post of defense minister remained former head of the Ministry Stepan Poltorak, and the position of Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin. The government will continue to work as head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.


 

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Trade was Stepan Kubiv, who was previously president’s representative in parliament. The Ministry of Finance took Oleksandr Danyluk, previously deputy head of presidential administration.


 

The Chairman of the Parliament of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy was however, a new Vice-President Ms Iryna Herashchenko.
