Office Helmut Kohl announced that former Chancellor actually underwent surgery, but is doing well – considering the circumstances. As reported, it was about hip surgery. Kohl now intends to begin rehabilitation combined with annual leave.
Media in Germany give out earlier that the former chancellor had surgery intestine, after which came in critical condition at an intensive care unit. Helmut Kohl ruled Germany from 1982 to 1998. It is called the chancellor of unity in recognition of his contribution to the unification of Germany and Europe.
In 2008, Kohl suffered brain damage after she collapsed at home. From this point moves in a wheelchair and virtually does not appear in public.
