From the cabinet of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz he departed in June 2006 when the Commissioner of Public Interest accused her lustration lie. He held the functions of finance minister and deputy prime minister until September 2007.

In the 90s, Zyta Gilowska was among other Polish delegate to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and Vice-President of the Council for Local Government of the Polish President.

Zyta Gilowska since 2001 has been professor of the Catholic University of Lublin. Author of over 220 scientific publications in the field of public finance. In 2009 she was awarded the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Rebirth of Polish.


 

She was born on July 7, 1949 in New Town Lubawskie.

Rafal Grupiński (PO) mentions that Zyta Gilowska co-founded the Civic Platform, remember, that was previously in the Freedom Union.
