exit poll surveys show that in today’s parliamentary elections the Likud party in Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Block Zionist Isaac Herzog won the same or almost the same number of seats in the Knesset.

According to the exit poll survey TV Channel 10 Likud and the Zionist center-left block won the 27 seats in the 120-seat Knesset, while the exit poll Channel 2 gives Likudowi 28 seats, and the Zionist Block 27.

The exit poll surveys also indicate that the third force in parliament with 13 seats will be United Arab List, electoral bloc of Arab communities, focusing on their lists of both Muslims and and Christians, Jews and Druze.

Final results are expected no earlier than Wednesday morning. Observers caution that because of the electoral arithmetic, probably a few weeks you will have to wait for the name of the new head of government. In Israel, the president of the mission entrusted to the formation of the government is not necessarily the winner of the election, but he who is able to create a majority coalition.

A multitude of small parties entering parliament makes the process of government formation is complicated, and the chronically unstable coalitions. In Tuesday’s election for voters, candidates struggled with 25 lists; pre-election polls showed that 11 of them can be represented in the Knesset.
