A pair of German tourists visiting Nafplion in the Peloponnese, paid a visit to the mayor and the municipal cash paid 875 euro

They said that it was “per one part of war reparations, which belong to the Greeks by the Nazi occupation.”

The deposited amount, which – as calculated – is their share of the debt due to the German war reparations, divided into 80 million German citizens, social organization dedicated to real culture in Nafplion, one of the oldest cities in Greece – Greek media reported.

“Shame on us for the arrogance of our government and some of our countrymen against Greece” – said two tourists from Germany in an interview with the local media, adding that he wanted to make a symbolic gesture and return the money that they are guilty of the Greeks.

The Greek parliament has recently decided to set up a new commission composed of representatives of all political parties to demand reparations from Germany and the reimbursement of contributions imposed Greeks in the form of compulsory loan, as well as the return of art looted during the occupation.

The Greek government wants to make Germany the individual compensation paid to the victims of war, covered the losses caused by the ravages of war and reimbursed the amounts appropriated by the Third Reich in the form war contributions.

The amount of forced loans, which the Germans never gave away the Greeks, is now estimated at 7-11 billion.

There is a new revindication because none of the Greek government, regardless political orientation, not yet resigned from the investigation of these claims in Germany.
